Gorgeous purple and black mottled wool fabric make this a stunning suit.  The top is unique and fitted at the waist with a peplum, giving the appearance of a riding jacket.  Five snap buttons down the front, and an open ,rounded, stand up collar add to the effect.     Jacket and skirt lined in rust silk.

 

The skirt is classically straight with a back vent and a back zipper.
